Order Management System

Case Study

For a global home furnishings company, we enhanced warehouse operations by streamlining the handling of C&C, COD, and ITA orders, complemented with a customer queue management system to optimize order processing.

Software DevelopmentHardware Integration

Background

The client’s current ERP system did not support processes for handling C&C, COD, and ITA orders. Implementing such functionalities would present a significant budgetary challenge due to the multinational nature of the chain and the complex approval and planning process. For individual franchisees, this creates serious difficulties in expanding and upgrading their systems.

Solution

We delivered a comprehensive solution that included a WMS system, mobile devices, and a queue management system, fully integrated with the client’s ERP system and the transport company’s information system serving the chain. This enabled complete digitalization of the C&C, COD, and ITA order handling process - from order receipt and storage to picking operations and final release after electronic client signature.

Challenges

  • Development of a new kiosk aligned with the client’s marketing standards
  • Integration with the client’s ERP system without reliance on external integrator support
  • Deployment of the system across multiple locations
  • Full remote diagnostics and administration capabilities for the queue management system

Effects

  • Improved user experience
  • Significant budget optimization
  • Increased efficiency of warehouse operations
  • Optimized customer service department performance
  • Implemented metrics for analyzing and tracking the efficiency of each individual unit
